싱가포르 (Singapore)

1) iDA Singapore와 SiTF이 내달 25일 Infocomm Industry Forum 2011를 개최한다. 작년과 마찬가지로 반일 일정으로 열리는 이번 행사에서는 융합이 가속화하는 세계에서 혁신을 통해 경쟁사를 이기고 기술의 홍수를 헤쳐나가는 법을 기업과 조직에게 전수할 예정이다.

2) 싱가포르 경제개발위원회(EDB) 산하 투자개발공사(EDBI)가 미국 온라인 비디오 광고 네트워크 Tremor Video에 대한 3700만 달러 규모의 투자에 참여했다고 9월 12일 MediaPost가 보도했다.

3) Start-Up Chile의 선정 결과가 9월 24일 아침 보도기사를 통해 발표됐다. 선정된 154개 벤처기업에는 싱가포르 업체 세 곳(HelloWorldHQ, Espy, My Fitness Wallet)과 말레이시아 업체 한 곳(Flvrd)이 포함되었다. 이들 업체는 2011년 11월이나 2012년 1월 칠레로 건너가 4만 달러를 종자돈(seed funding)으로 받고 6개월 간 체류하게 된다. 1년 기한의 취업비자를 발급 받고 칠레 기업가 네트워크에도 참여할 수 있다.

Start-Up Chile는 칠레에서 성공을 꿈꾸는 벤처기업을 유치하고자 칠레 정부가 추진하는 프로그램이다. 2014년까지 1000개 벤처기업을 유치해 칠레를 남미 혁신/기업가정신의 메카로 만든다는 목표를 두고 있다.
