트웰브랩스의 영상 이해 기술은 영상의 화면, 소리, 맥락을 동시에 분석해 수백 시간 분량에서 특정 장면을 몇 초 만에 찾아낸다. 현재 주요 스튜디오, OTT 플랫폼, 방송사들이 영상 아카이브를 효율적으로 활용하는 데 사용하고 있다.
황동혁 퍼스트맨 스튜디오 대표(오징어게임 감독)는 "스토리텔링이 더욱 글로벌 해지고 빠르게 진화하고 있다”며, “이러한 변화에 적응하는 창작자들이 엔터테인먼트의 미래를 만들 것"이라고 말했다. 이어 "트웰브랩스의 기술은 아이디어를 관객이 원하는 속도로 완성도 있게 만드는 데 필수적"이라며 투자 배경을 설명했다.
스튜디오들의 영상 아카이브에는 수십억 달러 가치의 콘텐츠가 저장되어 있지만, 원하는 장면을 찾고 활용하는 과정이 비효율적이다. 제작비 증가와 제작 기간 단축 압박이 공존하는 상황에서 트웰브랩스의 영상이해 기술은 콘텐츠 제작 방식을 근본적으로 바꿀 것으로 기대된다.
