The World's Biggest Digital Cable TV Show Kicks Off

According to the Korea Times, the biggest cable TV forum kicked off yesterday at Jeju, Korea. “Beyond Cable, Smart and More” is the main theme for this year’s “Digital Cable TV Show,” which kicked off at the Haevichi Resort on the nation’s southern resort island of Jeju. The conference is the 11th such held annually. The event, organized by the Korea Cable Television and Telecommunications Association (KCTA), will continue through today.

urlSamsung Sets Up Independent Body For Patents In The US

Samsung Display said yesterday that it established a company specializing in trading and developing patents in the United States. So as to boost their patent-related business, they said it invested $25 million to launch Intellectual Keystone Technology (IKT) in Washington D.C. Samsung Display has 100% share in IKT. This is the first time the Korean conglomerate has set up an independent body only for patents, said Samsung officials.

Google To Use Samsung Display's OLED Technology

Google will use Samsung Display’s organic light-emitting diode (OLED) technology in its upcoming Google Glass, a wearable computer with a head-mounted display, according to the Korea Times.The company's executives have  approved a business proposal by Samsung Display to use its OLED screens for Google Glass recently.
