After Resounding Success in Beta, The World’s Top Couple App ‘Between’ Launches On PC

VCNC, the developers behind couples app Between today announced the release of their PC version. The world's leading mobile couples' app was previously only available on iOS and Android. The addition of the PC version will enable couples to continue their conversations on their desktop or laptop computers.

“As the leading platform for couples, we can not ignore the 8 hours that couples spend daily on desktop computers. The development of Between’s PC version was to ensure that Between can continue to enrich couples’ relationships across the main screens that they spend their time at,” said Park Jaeuk, CEO and co-founder of VCNC.

Why PC In A Mobile World?

Prior to today’s official launch, VCNC released a beta version to over 5,000 testers at the end of September. From the test results, VCNC saw an 85% increase in daily messaging from the PC version testers.

Beta testers’ data also showed that users on Between’s mobile and PC applications have different activity cycles, especially between 8am to 6pm of the day. The chart below shows the messaging activities carried out on mobile versus PC by Between’s beta testers throughout the day.

These key indicators showed that the PC version will be a complementary addition to Between’s mobile application.

Since launching in 2011, Between has achieved over 9 million downloads worldwide and the breakdown of Between’s users are as follows:

South Korea: 51%

Japan: 15%

China: 8%

Taiwan: 6.5%

South East Asia: 6%

US: 3.5%
